TEA
IS LIFE’S LIQUOR
No other drink is so intertwined with humanity across time and place. Embraced by ancient emperors and Gen Zers, East and West. So ceremonial yet so ordinary. Energising and relaxing.
HOW CAN A SINGLE LEAF BE THIS COMPLEX
A bit like life, isn’t it?
And despite the incessant rumours of its demise
TEA IS STILL THE WORLD’S FOREMOST BEVERAGE
With endless and varieties and ways to make it, it remains all things to all people. All drawn to its magical ability to make everything better and nothing worse.
We understand this because we are tea people.
WE GREW UP USING TEA CHESTS TO BUILD FORTS
We looked at leaves in cups, not on trees. Gardens meant plantations in exotic lands, Ceylon, Darjeeling, Malawi. Anytime was teatime. Shipments marked seasons, and the warehouse was home. For a multigenerational family steeped in the business for over 90 years, tea is an ancient drink that never gets old.
But when we stepped out, we realised that most people have not tasted good tea. And over the years,
A SIMPLE YET REVOLUTIONARY THOUGHT TOOK HOLD
(and refused to let go!)
THERE WAS ONLY
ONE WAY TO FIND OUT
It required us to do things never done before, starting with thinking outside the box (bottle and bag). Experimenting with unorthodox methods and emerging technologies to brew and blend differently. Combining techniques, old and advanced. With patience (we never knew we had) and a belief that we are at the start of something special, we think we have found a way.
IT’S BECA
IT’S TEA WHERE TEA IS THE STAR
It tastes great because it’s made differently, from source to sip. Like all good things, it doesn’t draw attention to itself, but it’s hard to ignore, It takes you where you need to be. And with a range of blends, there’s something for everybody.
Chances are you’ve never tasted anything like it.
